Partner Kimberly R. McGhee, Esq., CELA and Senior Litigation Attorney Ryan B. Kalashian, Esq. recently presented to two ProVisors peer professional groups in Los Angeles and Orange County on Elder Abuse Restraining Orders and the practical legal tools available to protect vulnerable adults.
The presentations were delivered to ProVisors’ Estate Planning and Succession Affinity Groups and focused on how elder abuse concerns can move from warning signs to legal intervention, including when restraining orders may be appropriate and how attorneys and other trusted advisors can help identify issues before they escalate.
The discussions also highlighted the important role estate planning attorneys, fiduciaries, financial professionals, and other advisors can play when concerns involving capacity, isolation, financial exploitation, or undue influence arise.
These peer-to-peer programs reflect The Estate Lawyers’ continued commitment to providing practical education and serving as a resource to professionals navigating complex elder protection, conservatorship, and fiduciary matters.
